Friday, Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. Recipe Exchange: The theme for this month is vegetables. Prepare your favorite vegetable dish, whether it be as a side dish or main dish, or it could even be a dessert. Remember to bring the recipe, too. We invite and encourage guests to join us and be taste testers (no experience required). No need to bring a dish; just come join us for good food and conversation. We always have plenty of food to share and you might find a new recipe you like. Table service and drinks are provided.
Wednesday, Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28, at 10 a.m. Story Time with Miss Kathy: Join Miss Kathy for stories and activities for children from birth to preschool age.
Thursday, Sept. 8, and 22 at 5 p.m. Ukulele Association of Homer: This is a time for fellow ukulele players to meet for ukulele practice and to share their enthusiasm for this unique instrument in an informal setting. There will be an experienced ukulele player in attendance to offer lessons. The library has ukuleles for lending, and all ages are welcome to attend.
Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 11 Medicare Discussion: Jason Barber of TLC Insurance will lead a discussion and answer questions about Medicare and the various options/plans. There will be new plans available for Knox County residents in 2023.

Thursday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m. Crafting: Join us and make a fall-themed craft using tools in the Makerspace. Reservations are required, so please call or stop by the library to schedule a craft time.
Friday, Sept. 16, at 5 p.m. Ladies Tea: Local author Jill McLaughlin Dorman will share her story of being an overcomer, even if you have to do it several times. Enjoy an inspiring story, light refreshments and good company. Registration required. Call or stop by the library to register for this event.
Monday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. Essential Oil Class: Join Rochelle Walters with Young Living Essential Oils. The class will focus on NingXia Red and why you need this red drink in your life.
Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 5:30 p.m. Teen Paint Night: Join us and create a serene campfire painting. Call the library to reserve your spot. All materials are provided.
Thursday, Sept. 22, from 4-6:30 p.m. Library Annex Open House: Please stop by the annex building next to the library and check out new updates to the space. The annex is available to community members to use for parties, receptions, dinners, etc. There will be a quilt display by local quilters and light refreshments will be served.
Friday, Sept. 30, 11 a.m. Adult Book Club: The book selection this month is “The Johnstown Flood” by David McCullough. Reserve your copy by calling or stopping by the library. Join us for an informal, interesting and lively discussion.
