MOUNT VERNON –The 2022 Knox County River Rally will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, on the segments of the Kokosing and Mohican Rivers that flow in our county. Registration will be at the CA&C Depot at 501 South Main St. in Mount Vernon for all day of event volunteers. A limited number of t-shirts will be provided.
Participants are invited to walk or kayak/canoe (limited number provided; bring your own if possible) and collect trash from our river. Wear clothes that are appropriate for the forecast, able to get wet and close-toed footwear. Food will be provided directly after the event.
This year’s event was made possible by the Knox County Commissioner’s Office, DKMM Solid Waste District and CES Credit Union. Full sponsors will be released closer to the event.
Timeline:
9-10 a.m. – Registration and transportation (limited supply of shirts)
10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. – Clean-up
12:30-1 – Lunch
