MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon Nazarene University announced Red Rocks Worship will headline SonFest, an outdoor Christian music festival, on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Red Rocks Worship is composed of nine worship leaders and songwriters who have a passion to bring their love of Jesus to people through music. Together, they spread the message for everyone to know the only way, the truth, and the life is found in Jesus.

“The heartbeat behind our music is to cultivate communities that pursue God’s presence while creating a real and authentic environment for people to respond in worship,” said Tyler Roberts, the Ministry Leader of Red Rocks Worship.

SonFest is known for its lineup of Christian artists, and 2022 is no exception. Joining Red Rocks Worship on the main stage are Trip Lee, Blanca, Wolves At The Gate and The New Respects. A second stage keeps the music playing all day.

In addition to the Christian music and food trucks, activities for all ages will include a BMX bike show, Zorb Ball racing, archery tag, a 360 video booth and more.

SonFest will be held rain or shine at The Grove on the MVNU campus, 800 Martinsburg Road, Mount Vernon. Gates open at noon with music and activities scheduled until 10 p.m. Acts are subject to change without notice.

Early bird discounted tickets are available through July 19. General admission tickets at this discounted rate are $25, with groups of 10 or more just $20 per person. Prices increase to $30 for general admission and $25 for group tickets starting July 20. All tickets purchased the day of SonFest will be $35. Gates open at noon with music starting at 1 p.m.
