MOUNT VERNON – Jerry L. Magers, 79, of Mount Vernon passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at his home. He was born on March 23, 1943, in Bladensburg to the late Frank and Marguerite (Riley) Magers.
Jerry earned an associate's degree from Columbus State Community College in refrigeration. He honorably served his country in the Army during the Vietnam era. Jerry was the owner/operator of Bell Cooling and Heating in Mount Vernon for 29 years. He was a member of the American Legion. Jerry enjoyed gardening and classic cars.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Pamela (Lentz) Magers.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Dowds Chapel, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, with Mr. Roger Marra officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg.
