MOUNT VERNON – Martha Carolyn Link, 85, of Mount Vernon passed away at Country Club Retirement Campus. She was born on May 13, 1937, to Robert and Winnifred (Horn) Hall in Mount Vernon.
Martha was a graduate of Gambier High School, Class of 1955. Martha and her husband, Chuck, were married in 1973. She worked at Kenyon College and Gantt Homes until her retirement. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Martha enjoyed the Freedom Years bus trips and attending church.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Link; a son, Jim (Judy) Lee of Mount Vernon, OH; a daughter-in-law, Carole Francis of Fredericktown, OH; a stepson, Wayne Link of Mount Vernon, OH; sisters Marge Gantt and Maxine Smith, both of Mount Vernon, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents and a son, John Lee.
There will be a celebration of life on July 2, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 303 S. Edgewood Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
