MOUNT VERNON – Susan Mae Turner, 72, of Mount Vernon passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at her home in Mount Vernon.
Susan was born Aug. 12, 1949, in Ashland, Ohio, to Ted and Eileen {Haudenschild} Jones.
Susan was valedictorian of the class of 1967 at Mount Vernon High School.
She has been with her life companion and best friend, Henry “Pat” Underwood, for over 25 years.
Susan worked in the banking field for many years in Mount Vernon, enjoying the challenging work and her customers. Her real joy was playing cards and marbles with her many friends in Ohio and in their home in Florida.
Susan will be deeply missed by Pat; son Clint (Dana) Turner; many beloved cousins; dear friend Kathy (Roger) Yarman; and beloved dog Cleo.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather John Korns.
Friends may call Friday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home- Mount Vernon Chapel, Mount Vernon.
