MOUNT VERNON – Floyd Eugene Llewellyn Sr., 75, of Mount Vernon passed away on Monday evening, April 25, 2022, at the Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon surrounded by family. He was born on May 7, 1946, to the late Archie E. and Carrie Mae (Edwards) Llewellyn.

Floyd retired from Flxble in Delaware, where he was a welder for the company. He was a member of the Colonial City Moose Lodge #2555 where he served for nine years as the governor. Floyd will be remembered for being a great cook, especially his homemade stuffing, and for being a wonderful father and grandfather who loved to spend holidays and special events with his family.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Erma Irene (Gullett) Llewellyn; his children, Sharon Workman, Tom Durbin,Terry (Mickey) Durbin, Sondra (Jeff) Stump, Susie (Brenda) Friend, Penny Llewellyn, Floyd Llewellyn Jr., Leonard (Stephanie) Stacy and Peggy Stacy; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Llewellyn and Terry Davis; sisters, Diana “Dee Dee” (Lloyd) Henthorn and Peach (Tom) Hulse; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his first wife, Lela Virginia (Shannon) Llewellyn; brother, Edward Llewellyn; and sisters, Sharon Hoeflich, Betty Shannon and Teresa Miracle. 

In following with Floyd’s wish, there will not be any services.

The family would like to thank the staff at Country Court Nursing Center for the wonderful care they provided to Floyd over the years.
