MOUNT VERNON – Jane M. Galbraith, 60, of Mount Vernon passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at her home.

She was born on July 22, 1961, in Mount Vernon to the late James and Molly (Hieneman) Payne. Jane was previously employed at Walmart for many years. She was a lifelong member of Amvets Post #95. She enjoyed coaching softball, crochet and playing Bingo. But most of all, Jane loved the time she spent with her loving family.

She is survived by her husband, John Galbraith; her grandchildren, Halie McGregor and Austin McGregor; her great granddaughter, Kiyrah Galbraith; her great-great niece, Makenna Smith; her brother, Bob (Sue) Payne; her sisters, Janine (Roger) Mizer and Jamie (Jeff) Winkler; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her son, P.J. McGregor.
