KNOX COUNTY – The Knox County Recorder’s Office invites all Knox County students, grades K-8, to participate in a countywide school art competition.

Winners will receive a prize and have their art hung in the County Recorder’s Office in the Knox County Service Center for one year, after which time the art will be returned to the artist.

The theme for this year is: What does home in Knox County mean to me? Students are asked to show what they love about Knox County in a 2-dimensional, 8.5x11 painting, drawing, collage or combination thereof. Art submissions will be collected from now until April 25.

Winners will be announced by the end of the school year. Art pieces can be mailed or brought to the County Recorder’s Office, 117 E High St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050, or left in the student’s school's main office for collection. Please include name, age, grade, school and title on the back of the work.

One winner will be chosen per category per school.

Categories are as follows: Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8.
