MOUNT VERNON – Chuck and Jean McKenzie are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary.

Charles "Chuck" L. McKenzie married Jean Lamb on April 8, 1967, at the Stonybrook Methodist Church in Gahanna. Pastor Gary Boucher, formerly of Mount Vernon, officiated.

The McKenzies parented one child, Luke McKenzie, now deceased.

Jean retired from Ohio State University and Columbus State Community College, and Chuck retired real estate agent from Coldwell Banker King Thompson.

After residing in Columbus for 48 years, the couple moved back to their Mount Vernon roots in 2015. 

Chuck, a 1959 MVHS graduate, loves fountain pens and old cars – especially Packards. 

Jean, a 1961 MVHS graduate, is a life-long learner, eager to learn about anything – with a special interest in history and geneaology research.

Together, they enjoy analyzing political debate, C-span, visiting a target range for practice, spoiling their dachshunds and, above all, love their Lord Jesus Christ.

Their celebration, per their usual, will be impromptu.
