The City of Mount Vernon will close Gay Street between Chestnut and Sugar streets on April 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Street Department requested this closure for curb and gutter repair, according to a press release.
Starting Monday, no parking will be permitted on either side. This is an update to the lane closure from March 31. Gay Street had been open on Friday, April 1, but will be closed again Monday, April 4.
