Knox Public Health has posted a notice on vaccine availability that will be updated regularly as conditions change. Anyone 5 and older is eligible for the Pfizer vaccine; third-dose Pfizer and Moderna vaccinations are currently available. SNAP-Ed is now providing virtual programming to eligible audiences. Knox County SNAP-Ed staff member Tanner Cooper-Risser will be providing a virtual series called "Eating for the Health of it" with Opportunity Knox. Cooper-Risser will be discussing tips on making healthy food choices and ways to save money while still following a healthy lifestyle. Santa is coming to Danville. Stop by this free event to get pictures with Santa. Wear your ugliest Christmas sweater to get entered into the drawing for a door prize. Wheelin & Grillin food truck will be there, too.

Monday, Dec. 20

The Main Place will be serving a traditional Christmas dinner for lunch. While the Main Place serves a free lunch at the same time every day, this will be have all the seasonal favorites. Everyone is welcome to participate or even bring some food or desserts for the dinner, the more the merrier.

Saturday, Jan. 1

First Day Hike: a live-guided 1.5-mile hike through Ariel-Foundation Park with a bonfire to warm up nearby before and after. Coffee, water and snacks will be provided, but no lunch. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Restrooms in Urton Clock House will be open.
