Elite Preparedness is holding its annual Veterans Benefit Pistol Eliminator competition Saturday, Oct. 16.
This will be a bracket-style competition where shooters are scored on 20 shots per round from 0-15 points per shot. The distance to the target will be 35 feet, and both indoor and outdoor ranges will be utilized. Targets will be provided.
This event is open to the public, with all proceeds going to adopt disabled veterans and their families for Christmas. Last year we adopted six families through this event and we would like to at least do that this year. This is only possible through the support and generosity of the public. We are still looking for donations for the silent auction, and cash donations are welcomed also. Everything is run through our nonprofit and is tax deductible.
Our men and women were willing to give their all for our freedom, and now we get the opportunity to do something for them.
The entry fee is $25 per class. Classes are Optic, Centerfire and 22. There will also be a buy-back class.
The starting time is at 10 a.m. Please be at the range no later than 9:30 a.m. for the pre-shoot meeting. The address is 25580 Bell Church Road in Utica.
Shooters must provide their own firearms, safety equipment and ammunition.

There are also openings for those who want to compete. Regardless of skill level, you will have great time and meet some fantastic people.
Rumor has it that if he feels up to it, the legend Larry Hashman will make the trip to see the flag raising! If he is able, I am asking everyone in the Elite Preparedness family to come show him our love and support!
