CENTERBURG – Shirley M. Wheeler, 76, of Mount Vernon passed away Sept. 13, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus. Member of Mount Vernon Moose Lodge.
Survived by her children, Margaret Edmond of Mount Vernon, George (Angela) Wheeler, Jr. of Centerburg, Robert Wheeler of Mansfield and Shirley (John Shoemaker) Ater of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Danny Edmond, Beth Brown, Shawn Ater, George Kelly, Brandi Wheeler, Kevin Mohr and Chelsea Blackwood; great-grandchildren, Gannon and Everett Mohr, Brinlee Corfman and Carson Blackwood; brother, Jim; and sister, Levania.
Preceded in death by her husband, George Wheeler, Sr.; parents, James M. and Ethel (Harrington) Urban; three sisters; and one brother.
Friends may call at the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church Street, Centerburg, Friday 6-8 p.m. where service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. Interment Eastview Cemetery.
