Parenting Plus CASA of Ashland and Knox County swore in a new class of volunteers on July 27 at 9 a.m., according to a press release.
Shannon Winings, director of Parenting Plus CASA Program of Knox and Ashland Counties, said training began the week of July 29 and includes training cases, meetings and court observations.
"While we only have a small number joining us in Knox County, we are ecstatic to see the program grow," she said in the release.
The program will be hosting another CASA training in the fall, date to be announced.
Other trainings will include Mental Health First Aid training through MHRLK (registration at https://tithe.ly/event-registration/#/3840515) and Stewards of Children training through New Directions in August and September.
