MOUNT VERNON – Rosalie Neiderhouser went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the age of 83.

Rosalie was born on March 4, 1938, in Mount Vernon to Harold and Evah Ernest. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1956 and received an Associate Degree in Business from the University of Cincinnati. On April 5, 1959, she married James C. Neiderhouser, who survives her.

Rosalie worked for 28 years for Kokosing Construction Company; and after retirement she moved to Warsaw, Indiana, to be near her daughters and grandchildren. Rosalie loved her family and spending time with them. She also loved her church, Winona Lake Grace Brethren, and enjoyed being a part of the women’s ministries and working in AWANA helping children learn Bible verses. She also enjoyed spending the winters in Florida and riding a motorcycle with her husband. For many years, she played the piano and organ at church. Rosalie enjoyed meeting new people and was an encouragement to all she met. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and faithful wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Mark) Sharp, Karla Neiderhouser and Krista (Ron) Streeter-Burns; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Melinda) Sharp, Jordan (Renae) Sharp, Mathew Colton (Cassie) Streeter, Jesse (Kelsey) Sharp and Kailey Streeter; and four great-grandsons.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Eddie Ernest, infant brother Neil and infant sister Vivian; and a son-in-law, Mathew Streeter.

Rosalie’s life will be celebrated at 4 p.m. on July 9 at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church. The family will greet guests one hour prior to the start of the service.
