MOUNT VERNON – Troy R. Steinmetz, 48, of Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 12, 2021. He was born on Dec. 16, 1972, in Mount Vernon, the son of Larry and Betty (Dickerson) Steinmetz.
Troy was a 1991 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and earned his associate degree in criminal justice.
Troy was hired by Kenyon College in 1995 in the security division and was currently serving as safety and investigating officer in his 26th year of employment.
