CENTERBURG – The Heart of Ohio USA Days in Centerburg is seeking entrants for the parade.
Monetary prizes are awarded and ribbons for any wanting to be judged. We need floats, decorated bikes, horses, cars, trucks, dignitaries, reigning queens from homecomings, fairs, etc. Welcome to all!
The parade this year will be honoring Centerburg’s only casualty of the Vietnam War, Cpt. Peter Hayden Chapman, who was shot down during a rescue mission. His remains were missing for 25 years until found and sent home. There will be a larger article forthcoming on this story.
Our last parade in 2019 had not one horse! We always have had lots of horses and riders or horses pulling carts. We miss you! Please come back!
The parade is at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 26. Line-up is at the Church of Christ just west of town beside the high school. For judging, be there by 9 a.m.; if you are not entering for judging, arrive by 10 a.m.
Let’s bring back the good old days of the parade this year! Come participate with us!
