FREDERICKTOWN – Mr. and Mrs. Ray W. Davis of Fredericktown will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on June 18, 2021.
The former Patricia Marie Carter and Mr. Davis exchanged vows on Sunday, June 18, 1961, in the Fredericktown United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Bibbee. Mr. Roger Davis, brother of the groom, was best man. Diane Studer Blackburn, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor.
Mr. Davis is employed part-time by the Fredericktown Park District. He enjoys playing weekly in a golf league and watching Ohio sports. Mrs. Davis is retired and enjoys the Red Hat Society and playing cards with friends. They are avid Freddie fans and enjoy attending their grand- and great-grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.
The Davises are the parents of three children: Rae Jean (Brian) Zollars of Mount Vernon, Mandy Halterman of Fredericktown and Jim (Cynthia) Davis of Mount Vernon. They have eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The couple will celebrate with a trip in the near future.
