Freddies' Tumbleson to play in NCOFCA All-Star Classic

Fredericktown’s Steven Tumbleson has been named to the North Central Ohio Football Coaches Association All-Star Classic, the association reported on Wednesday.

Tumbleson, the area’s only representative, will play for the South team in the game scheduled for 7 p.m. on June 18 at Clear Fork High School.

Halftime will feature a place-kicking competition, which is open to current high school students (grades 9–12).

Tumbleson led the Freddies with 826 yards rushing and eight touchdowns on 139 carries. He also had 44 solo tackles, 42 assists and three sacks as a linebacker on defense.

The South team features athletes from Clear Fork, Colonel Crawford, Crestline, Elgin, Galion, Lexington, Loudonville, Lucas, Mansfield Senior, Marion Harding and Ontario.

The North team is comprised of athletes from Ashland, Attica Seneca East, Bucyrus, Crestview, Jeromesville Hillsdale, Mansfield Madison, Mapleton, New London, Norwalk, Plymouth, Shelby, Tiffin Calvert, Tiffin Columbian, Willard and Wynford.
