UTICA – A Celebration of Life for Jack L. Dunn, 76, of Utica, will be held from 2–6 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, at Fredonia Park Community Center.

Jack passed away on May 25, 2021, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center. He was born on Nov. 14, 1944, in Newark, to the late Gerald and Mary (Wilson) Dunn.

Jack received his bachelor’s degree from Ashland University. He retired from the North Fork School System as a school teacher and was the custodian for Miller Park for a number of years. He enjoyed coaching Little League baseball and was a selfless person who would give his time if there was work to be done. He was a doer. He would always jump in to get the job done and ask for nothing in return except for your time well spent.

He is survived by his sons, Justin (Lori) Dunn of Avon and Preston (Angel) Dunn of Utica; brothers, Fred Dunn of Pennsylvania and Bob (Terri) Dunn of Newark; grandchildren, Merrick and Scarlet Dunn, both of Avon; Azlin Dunn of Newark; Ayden and Avan Dunn, both of Utica; and Kaelob and Grier Dunn, both of St. Louisville; and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Dunn of Newark.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a son, Nathanial “Nate” Dunn; a brother, Dave Dunn; and sister, Barb Ridgeway.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.

We love you so much, Dad. You will be terribly missed by many.
