MOUNT VERNON – Betty J. Ware, 82, of Mount Vernon, passed away at Country Court on May 26, 2021. She was born on Jan. 2, 1939, in Huttonsville, West Virginia, to the late Anthony and Tina (Shreve) Currence.

Betty is survived by a son, Louie Eugene Ware; son-in-law, Nelson Blackburn; granddaughters, April Stewart-Brumbley and Jessica Ware; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Ralph, Victor, Delbert, Charlie and Steve Currence; sisters, Judy Foster, Evelyn Lester, Nellie Page and Isabelle Bishop; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brant Ware; a son, Dale Ware; daughter, Rose Blackburn; sibling infant sister, Mildred; and brothers, Robert, Paul, Lester, Jack and Gary Currence.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on June 4 at Ware Cemetery in Sutton, West Virginia, on Airport Road. The Lasater Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the Ware family.
