MOUNT VERNON – Gage Rayne Moody, 14, of Mount Vernon, passed away at his home on Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born on Nov. 26, 2006, in Westerville to Aaron Chaney and Katie Moody.
Gage enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, playing video games and playing football. He also enjoyed the time he spent being a member of the Porkers 4–H Club. But most of all, Gage loved the time he spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his father, Aaron (Curtis Spaulding) Chaney; his mother, Katie Moody; his sisters, Krystalyn Moody and Olivia Spaulding; his brothers, Austin Moody and Landen Spaulding; his paternal grandmother, Cheryl Vickers-Chaney; his aunt, Sasha Jobe; his maternal grandfather, Roger Moody; and numerous cousins.
Gage was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thomas Chaney; and his maternal great-grandfather, Carroll Hubbell.
Friends may call from 5–7 p.m. on Monday, May 3, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m., with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery.
