UTICA – Richard J. “Dick” Cunningham, 57, of Utica, died on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by his family, after a two week battle with COVID-19. He was born on Oct. 15, 1963, in Mount Vernon to the late Gene and Earlene Cunningham.

Dick graduated from Utica High School, Class of 1982. He drove a truck the majority of his working career. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding his tractor, mushroom hunting, playing poker with friends and spending time with his dogs, but what he loved most was being with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lisa Cunningham; three daughters, Lexi Cunningham, Sydni Cunningham and Marlena Smith; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by a brother, William Cunningham; and a sister, Cheryl Teegardin.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 18, from 2–5 p.m. at the Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St. in Utica, where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service in Wilson Cemetery.
