Jack Guiffre scored four goals and dished out two assists to help the Kenyon men’s lacrosse team shake off a slow start en route to a 14-12 victory at Wittenberg in non-conference play on Saturday, March 20, in Springfield.

Guiffre’s big game earned him North Coast Conference Athlete of the Week honors.

Weston Powell had three goals and three assists, Mike Asuncion added a goal and an assist, and David Metzger stopped 14 shots in goal for the Lords (1-0), who trailed 3-0 before bridging the third and fourth quarters with five consecutive goals to take the lead for good.

A six-run third inning by Taylor proved to be too much to overcome in a 9-2 loss in seven innings in the second game.

Camden Knepp’s sacrifice fly ended a 10-inning marathon, and MVNU dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Taylor in Crossroads League play on Saturday, March 20, in Upland, Indiana.
