MOUNT VERNON – The Ohio State University (OSU) Extension Office is now taking registrations for Beef Quality Assurance (BQA).
This is a certification program for beef/dairy producers selling cattle through stockyards. BQA reflects a positive public image and instills consumer confidence in the beef industry. Producers can recertify online at bqa.org, take a farm assessment with OSU Extension or attend an in-person training. In-person trainings are held at 6:30 p.m. on March 8 or March 15, or at 9 a.m. on April 6.
Call the Extension office at 740-397-0401 for more details or to register.
4-H Quality Assurance dates are now available to register. See knox.osu.edu/program-areas/4-h-youth-development/knox-county-junior-fair for registration links.
