Brooklyn is a 14-year-old, 12-pound Shih Tzu that loves life in general. She belongs to Brian and Debra King, residents of Mount Vernon for 15 years.
The Kings have bred Shih Tzus for years; however, when Brooklyn was born, she had a lot of medical issues with her respiratory system. Rather than adopt her out, the Kings decided to keep her and help her through her issues. Fourteen years later, she is the love of their lives.
When Brooklyn was a pup she ruled the house, always wanting to be in control. Now her favorite thing to do is take long naps and eat the occasional tater tot.
Brooklyn has her spa day every four to six weeks by David at Professional Pet Grooming. She loves long bubble baths and soaking in the tub. Although she goes through a long grooming process because of all her hair, she is a long-time pro.
