MOUNT VERNON – Edward Miles “Tred” Clawson went to his eternal home on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at 8:15 a.m. 

Ed retired from Ariel Corporation as a machinist after 33 years. He was a member of New Life Church of Christ in Bellville. He was the master at Middlebury Grange and treasurer of the State Dartboard Ball League. He was also an instructor of shooting sports and a volunteer for 4H. Ed was involved in many groups and activities involving shooting sports and music.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kayla Sue Mills Clawson; his daughter, Amy K. Clawson (Jim) Stoner; his brother, Jeff (Mary) Clawson; and numerous family and friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his father, Harley Clawson; his mother, Triesa Thayer Clawson; and his beloved Thayer and Clawson grandparents. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a 4H Camp Ohio Scholarship in Ed’s name. All donations my be made to 4H Camp Ohio (please designate for the Ed Clawson Scholarship Fund), 11461 Camp Ohio Road, St. Louisville, OH 43071.

A memorial celebration will be held in the spring of 2021 at 4H Camp Ohio. Ed will be interred with his parents in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
