BELLVILLE – Judith E. “Judy” Friend, 67, of Bellville, died on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020, at her residence. She was born on April 21, 1953, in Mount Vernon, to Delbert and Helen McPherson.
Judy graduated from Mount Vernon High School and Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She retired from North Central State College in Mansfield, where she had been employed as a senior administrative assistant. She volunteered for the college benefit dinner for the disadvantaged in the Richland County area.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Friend; daughter, Christina (Nathan) Brake of Mount Vernon; sons, Jayme Friend of Bellville, Jeremiah (Kim) Friend of Burbank and Joshua Friend of Fredericktown; stepson Jerry (Evie) Friend of Enon; 11 grandchildren; and her sisters, Rebecca Keffer of Mount Vernon and Marsha Gibson of Fredericktown.
Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her son, Jesse Friend.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, at the Owl Creek Cemetery in Ankenytown.
