FRAZEYSBURG – Raymond F. “Frank” Stahl III, 61, of Frazeysburg (Bladensburg Community), passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on July 10, 1959, in Westerville, to the late Raymond F. and Barbara (Logan) Stahl Jr.

Frank had a kind and generous heart, always spoke the truth, never met a stranger and found tremendous joy and satisfaction in spending time with his family, friends and neighbors. He was an intensely hard-working and independent man, and a faithful and loving husband.

His hobbies were as diverse as his love of nature and animals. He was an avid woodworker, reader, designer and builder. He erected beautiful authentic log homes with the use of draft horses. A dedicated farmer, Frank raised livestock, made maple syrup and even chopped wood to heat his home. He found great pleasure in the simplicities of life and what the land had to offer him.

Frank could build or repair just about anything and was like a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. He would stop to help someone in need or check in on a sick neighbor. If he wasn’t working on the farm, he spent time with his beloved German shepherd, Jasmine, whom he adored. Frank was a rare, true one-of-a-kind man with a moral code, character and integrity.

When asked about his proudest achievement in life, he responded, “Rachael,” his daughter. Frank was adored by all who met him. His family is grieving this devastating loss. He left an indelible mark on the land; the animals; and, most of all, the people who were blessed to know him, as he is sorely missed by everyone.

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Lisa (McWilliams) Stahl; daughter, Rachael Stahl of Frazeysburg; step-daughter, Lydia (Justin) Napier-Corby of Frazeysburg; granddaughter, August Vickers of Frazeysburg; grandsons, Jaxton and Kingston Corby of Frazeysburg; brother, Dan (Sandy) Stahl of Westerville; his former wife and closest friend of the family, Allison (Jaxson) Flowers of Hebron; his Aunt Kay (Dean) Snyder of LaPort, Texas; and his Uncle Donald Glower of Destin, Fla.

Frank’s request was for a private family service to be held at a future date on the farm he created.
