GAMBIER – Carl Boyd Parrish, 76, of Gambier, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at his home. He was born on Aug. 9, 1944, in Mount Vernon, to the late Clyde and Goldie (Allenbaugh) Parrish.

Carl was a truck driver for M & M Trucking. He was a member of the NRA and the Goldwing Club. He was also an avid deer hunter

He is survived by his son, Carl O. (Julie Lipsey) Parrish; stepsons, Rick (Jacqueline) Masters and Larado Masters; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers, Charlie and Dwight Parrish; several nieces and nephews; his canine companion, Buddie; and his parrot, Snowy.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Doris E. “Babe” P. (Dexter) Parrish; sisters, Joy May and Donna Heider; brothers, Franklin Parrish and Clyde Parrish Jr.; and two stepsons, Jesse Masters and Marty Masters.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, in St. John’s Cemetery near Mount Vernon.
