Although the national tallies aren't yet in for certain battleground states, the Nov. 3 election saw voters in Ohio and Knox County hand incumbent President Donald J. Trump a decisive victory.
As Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose continues counting the votes, the unofficial numbers are in. With 3,074,418 votes to former Vice President Joe Biden's 2,603,681 votes— a margin of roughly 8%— the Trump campaign earned Ohio's 18 electoral votes.
In Knox County, unofficial results show the president received 71% of the vote versus 27% for his Democrat challenger. That translates to 21,825 votes cast for Trump versus 8,433 for Joe Biden.
In local races, Republican Bob Gibbs won the 7th District U.S. House seat, defeating Democrat opponent Quentin Potter. State Rep. Rick Carfagna (R) won reelection to the state House of Representatives, defeating Steven F. Mount (D) for the 68th District House seat.
