MOUNT VERNON — Ralph E. “Butch” Fawcett Jr., 76, of Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born Jan. 27, 1944 in Mount Vernon, the son of Ralph and Louisa (McPherson) Fawcett Sr.
Butch enjoyed being outside and working in his yard. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Butch loved his family and most important to him was the quality time he had with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Ernestine “Judy” (Martin) Fisher; his children, Danny (Kelly) Fisher, Chuck Moran and Romona Kay Fawcett; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley (Donald) McManaway; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Moore and Joycelyn Nicholas; a niece, Debra Nicholas; and a nephew, Donald McManaway.
Friends may call on Sunday, Aug. 2, from 1-3 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. The family will observe a private service.
