COLUMBUS — Dr. William Porterfield, 91, of Columbus, peacefully passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at the Ohio State Medical Center. Bill was born June 14, 1928, to William and Julia (Reed) Porterfield Sr. in Columbus.
Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Jane Porterfield; his children, Lynn (Kim) Gilmer, Anne (Robert) Vega, Jeff Porterfield, Matthew (Alison) Porterfield, David (Jenny) Porterfield and Rachel (Destin) Porterfield-Peters; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 15370 Meredith State Road, Sunbury, Saturday, Feb. 8, at 12 noon.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hope Lutheran Church.
