Virginia Mae Diehl

FREDERICKTOWN — Virginia Mae Diehl, 101, of Fredericktown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born June 30, 1918 in Madison County, Indiana, the daughter of Archie and Eva (Bell) Stern.
Virginia worked many years for Repparts ladies clothing, Watson’s Supply Company and True Value. She was a member of Ann Hill Chapter #81 Order of the Eastern Star in Fredericktown, American Legion Auxiliary and Fredericktown United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son Jeff (Ellen) Diehl of Chippewa Lake; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Enrique Yanes) Diehl, Kristen (Vern Black) Diehl, Tricia Diehl and Tara Bellman; seven great-grandchildren; and good friends Ed and Sandy Erick of Fredericktown.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Diehl; a son, Dennis Diehl; an infant son, Douglas Diehl; and a brother, James Stern.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, beginning at 2 p.m. in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown. The Snyder Funeral Home of Fredericktown is honored to serve the family of Virginia Mae Diehl.
