MOUNT VERNON — Central Ohio Safety Solutions LLC, a locally-owned small business, has joined forces with Women United - United Way of Knox County, Ohio Inc. to provide training to area senior citizens on “How Not to Become a Victim.”
The single most important step toward ensuring your own safety is having a personal safety strategy in place before you need it. Central Ohio Safety Solution offers the NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim program which teaches the tips and techniques you need to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid becoming a victim. This seminar can be tailored for women only, Co-ed men and women and also youth of all ages.
Today, hundreds of federal, state and local law enforcement officials from across the nation utilize this popular program in their crime prevention and community policing initiatives. Corporations, educational institutions and community centers have also adopted the program. All told, more than 100,000 people have benefited from these seminars.
The Refuse To Be A Victim program is not a firearms or self-defense class. This lecture-based seminar will help you improve personal safety strategies and will provide you with valuable information that you can apply in every area of your life. The seminar includes a take-home workbook and a certificate of completion.
The goal of the project is to provide information, tips and strategies for members of this community to stay safe in their everyday living.
Plans are being developed to work with several local groups. If you are interested in additional information, please email info@ohsafetysolutions.com.
