A giant “chicken of the woods” mushroom, also known as “laetiporus” was found Sunday in a wooded area on Scott Road in Knox County. An edible mushroom, it was found by Josh Carrington growing on an oak tree. There is a local Facebook group “Knox County Ohio Anything Mushroom” for those interested in getting into mushroom hunting.
