MOUNT VERNON — The Chautauqua on August 8 will feature presentations by three middle school scholars.
Rylee Jarosz will present “The struggles of Wilma Rudolph,” and Brooklyn Ellis will give her presentation as Jane Goodall, hero and role model. Cora McFadden will present George McFadden and the Orphans of Bristol, a project which recently took her to the national-level History Day Middle School Scholars competition in Maryland.
This rather special Chautauqua, sponsored by Elixir Presents, the Grand Hotel, a grant from the Ariel Foundation and a generous contribution from Bob and Pam Ford, will take place Thursday, Aug. 8, from 7-8 p.m. at The Grand Hotel, 12 Public Square, Mount Vernon.
