GAMBIER — Join Knox County Park District summer intern Teara Hill on Thursday, Aug. 1 as she leads a “Fisheries 101” class at the Big Run Road River Access of the Kokosing. Teara will allow attendees to seine (a method of net fishing) and discover the fish species that inhabit the Kokosing River. You will learn fish anatomy, how to properly age a fish, fish ID skills and the importance of seining the river.
Please wear attire to get wet and wear closed toe shoes; no sandals are permitted.
The Big Run River Access is located at 8921 Big Run Road. The program runs 6-8 p.m.
