Sheila M. Bartok

HOWARD — Sheila Marie (Durbin) Bartok, 81, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 27, 2019, at the Country Club Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.
She was born April 19, 1938, to Richard and Thelma (Lower) Durbin. She was employed as the head cook at East Knox Schools for 25 years. Her hobbies included walking, going to Florida, watching Cleveland Indians games, hunting mushrooms in Michigan, camping and going to “Curves.” She loved her trip out west with George and Judy Stringfellow, going to Amish country to eat, and being with family and friends.
Sheila is survived by her husband of 60 years this August, Donald “Fred” Bartok; a daughter, Vicki (Mark) McMahon; sons, Donald E. (Stacy) Bartok, and David (Ashley) Bartok; 10 grandchildren, Dustin, Nathan, Kyle, Macee, Meggan, Danielle, Eric, Tessa, Brookelyn, and Dakota; 15 great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Tamara, who was married to her son, Kevin Bartok, who is deceased.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, at the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville. Father Mark Hammond will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville.
