The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (OMA) commends Gov. Mike DeWine for vetoing “economic development” language in the state’s operating budget (House Bill 33) that would have made significant, anti-consumer changes to Ohio utility law.

The largest single private-sector company investment in Ohio is expected to bring more than 20,000 jobs – including 3,000 direct jobs paying an average of $135,000 annually – when it’s completed in 2025, Gov. Mike DeWine announced Friday.

Amid the most critical workforce shortage in modern history, The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (OMA) will host its fifth annual Ohio Manufacturers’ Workforce Summit on Oct. 27 and 28.
