The American Red Cross Central & Southern Ohio Region has issued a call for blood and platelet donations during National Volunteer Month to help maintain a stable supply, particularly of type O blood and platelets.

The East Central Ohio Chapter of the American Red Cross has announced it will host a community open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new blood and platelet donation center in Newark, Ohio.
