Mount Vernon will roar to life with horsepower and hometown pride when Lashley Training Center hosts its Annual Car Show on Saturday, June 27.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lashley Training Center, 60 Parrott Street, Mount Vernon. Registration opens at 8 a.m. with judging and activities throughout the morning, capped by the noon announcement of the Top 3 award-winning vehicles. In case of inclement weather, the rain date is set for June 28.

Organizers said the show is designed to bring the community together.

“Get ready for an unforgettable day in Mount Vernon! On June 27th, Lashley Training Center is hosting our Annual Car Show, and we’re inviting the entire community to join us for a celebration of horsepower, heritage, and hometown pride,” the center said in a release.

The event promises something for everyone.

“Whether you’re showcasing your ride or just love classic cars, hot rods, and custom builds, this is a must-attend event,” the release noted.

The car show will feature classic cars, hot rods, and custom builds, along with food trucks, local vendors, and family-friendly activities. Attendees can also expect huge sales on Lashley Training Center memberships and personal training packages, a 50/50 raffle, giveaway drawings, and live music to keep the energy high throughout the day.

Community engagement is a major focus of the show. Goodie bags filled with promotional items from local businesses will be distributed, and companies are invited to participate by donating gift baskets or materials to promote their brand. Vendors can register by emailing [email protected].

Admission is set at $10 per vehicle for registration, making it accessible for car enthusiasts eager to showcase their rides. The event is scheduled to conclude at 1 p.m. For more information, participants can contact Melanie Hott at 740-398-7410 or by email at [email protected].

With chrome polished, engines tuned, and the community ready to gather, Lashley Training Center’s Annual Car Show is positioned as one of Mount Vernon’s standout summer events—celebrating cars, fitness, and family fun all in one place. Organizers say the day is meant to highlight not only the vehicles but also the spirit of Mount Vernon, where neighbors, businesses, and families come together to celebrate tradition, strengthen community ties, and create new memories that will last long after the engines quiet down.
