Homer Public Library Ohio announced its schedule of events for July 2026, offering a range of activities for children, teens, and adults throughout the month.

The Children’s Summer Reading program will feature several themed story times, including a dinosaur-themed session with Miss Shaunta on Wednesday, July 1 at 10:00 am. On Wednesday, July 8 at 10:00 am, local children’s author S Kelly Rammell will read his book "City Beats: A Hip-Hoppy Pigeon Poem," followed by a puppet show. Additional children’s sessions include a dinosaur-themed teatime on Wednesday, July 15 at 10:00 am and the Circus Pop Giant Bubble Show with Ringling Bros. alumnus Logan Jimenez on Wednesday, July 22 at 10:00 am.

For adults aged 55 and older, GetSetUp – Exercise & Health meetups are scheduled every Monday in July at 10:00 am with Kathy to introduce an online learning community. The Ukulele Association of Homer will meet on Thursday, July 9 and Thursday, July 23 at 5:00 pm for practice sessions and free lessons; ukuleles are available for lending and all ages are welcome.

Other events include a BBQ-themed Recipe Exchange on Friday, July 10 at 11:00 am; Crafting with Ann Kimble to create Figure 8 Bracelets on Tuesday, July 14 at 2:00 pm (registration required); Teen Summer Reading Program soap-making on Tuesday, July 14 at 5:30 pm (registration required); Teen Movie and Pizza Night featuring "Kong: Skull Island" (PG-13) on Thursday, July 16 at 5:00 pm (RSVP by Wednesday); Brunch and a Movie showing "Song Sung Blues" (PG-13) on Friday, July 17 at 10:00 am (RSVP by Thursday).

Additional gatherings include Community of Women meeting Tuesday, July 21 at 2:00 pm; Teen Retro Game Night later that day at 5:30 pm; Licking County Aging Partners meal service followed by Y on the Fly exercise program Friday, July 24 starting noon (call to reserve meal); Homer Historical Society discussion Friday afternoon; and Book Club discussing "Mountain Girl" by Marilyn Moss Rockefeller Friday, July 31 at 11:00 am.
