MVNU men's soccer secures tournament spot after draw with Huntington

The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer team secured a spot in the Crossroads League Tournament after a 0-0 draw against Huntington University. The match, held on October 29 at Huntington, Indiana, marked the final regular season game for both teams.

In the first half, both MVNU and Huntington took four shots each, but neither team managed to score. In the second half, MVNU increased their efforts with seven additional shots, testing Huntington's defense. Despite these attempts, the game concluded without any goals from either side. MVNU outshot Huntington 11 to eight overall, with three of their shots on target compared to Huntington's one.

Players Miguel Bello, Mattia Zuin, and Chucho Salgado each contributed one shot on goal for MVNU. Goalkeeper Brayden Pierson made one save during the match.

Following this result, MVNU will advance as the No. 8 seed to face No. 1 seed Bethel in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals on November 4. The game time is yet to be announced.
