The Homer Public Library in Ohio has announced a series of events for November 2025, offering activities for various age groups and interests.
Story Time sessions with Miss Shaunta are scheduled for Wednesdays on November 5, 12, and 19 at 10:00 am. These sessions cater to children from birth to preschool age with stories and activities.
On Friday, November 7 at 10:00 am, the library will host a Recipe Exchange focused on Thanksgiving side dishes. Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite side dish along with the recipe. Guests can join as taste testers without needing to bring a dish.
A Medicare Discussion led by Jason Barber from TLC Insurance Group is set for Tuesday, November 11 at 2:00 pm. This session aims to provide insights into Medicare ahead of the open enrollment period ending December 7, 2025.
Teen Crafting will take place on the same day at 5:30 pm, where participants can create a DIY yarn-wrapped letter with buckeye and leaves. Registration is required for this event.
Miss Shaunta will also lead the Homer Homeschoolers program on Thursday, November 13 at 10:00 am, focusing on space-themed learning activities.
Later that day at 5:00 pm, the Ukulele Association of Homer invites ukulele enthusiasts for practice and lessons. The library offers ukuleles for lending during this session.
A DIY Non-Toxic Alternatives class is planned for Monday, November 17 at 2:00 pm. Participants will learn about making non-toxic cleaners; pre-registration by November 5 is necessary due to limited spots.
The Community of Women gathering is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18 at 2:00 pm as an informal meeting to share ideas and support each other through life's challenges.
Teen Paint Night follows on the same day at 5:30 pm, offering supplies for painting a Thanksgiving picture. Registration is required.
On Thursday, November 20 at 5:00 pm, Teen Movie & Pizza Night will feature "The Fantastic Four: Four First Steps (2025)," rated PG-13. Pizza and drinks are included; RSVP by November 19 is necessary.
The Book Club meets on Friday, November 21 at 11:00 am to discuss "Hang the Moon" by Jeannette Walls. Copies can be reserved through the library.
Finally, Licking County Aging and Y on the Fly will offer a meal followed by an exercise program on Friday, November 21 at noon. Reservations can be made by calling specified numbers provided by the library's director Amie Hatfield.
