The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's bowling team kicked off its 2025-26 season at the Midwest Collegiate Championship in Detroit, Michigan, on October 4-5. The team faced strong competition and finished 37th overall with a total score of 6136. Despite a three-hour delay due to a power outage, the team maintained focus throughout the tournament.
Olivia Strait led the team's performance with a total score of 782 over five rounds. Other notable performances included Brenna McTighe with 699, Mackenzie Kauffman with 613, Abigail Larkin with 560, and Alayna Mack with 545.
Looking ahead, MVNU will compete in the Ohio Bowling Conference No. 1 at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace in Columbus, Ohio, on October 18.
