Jazz at the Park 2025
Celebrate Memorial Day with Jazz at the Park 2025 on Monday, May 26, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Schnormeier Event Center in Ariel-Foundation Park (10 Pittsburgh Ave., Mount Vernon), where the Knox Community Jazz Orchestra will return with a lively, free concert filled with the sounds of big band jazz—featuring a wide range of styles from swing and Latin to Glenn Miller classics, Count Basie favorites, and modern arrangements—offering something for every listener to enjoy in a festive outdoor setting, supported in part by a generous grant from the Knox County Foundation and open to all.
Power of the Purse 2025
Join United Way of Knox County for Power of the Purse 2025 on Friday, May 30, from 5-9 p.m. at the Lowry Center at Kenyon College (221 Duff St., Gambier), where guests will gather for an unforgettable evening themed Shattering the Glass Ceiling, featuring a live auction of high-end designer handbags, surprise-filled POP Lotto Bags, a “New to You” collection of gently loved purses, and a powerful Fund-A-Cause paddle raise—all designed to inspire, uplift, and drive lasting community change through generosity, celebration, and meaningful connections in support of local impact initiatives.
