Stand Down Day by Vets for Vets is an event dedicated to supporting the nation's veterans, ensuring they receive the respect and assistance they deserve. Scheduled for Sunday, March 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event will be hosted at the American Legion Post 85, located at 85 S. 6th St., Newark, OH.

Organized by the VALOR Clinic Foundation, this Stand Down Day underscores the importance of giving back to those who gave so much for the nation.

"Help American Veterans who gave so much for us all!" a flyer reads.

Veterans in need are invited to take advantage of free food, clothing, and benefits assistance, provided with the utmost gratitude for their sacrifices. Hot meals will be provided during the event. The cause also aims to address the veterans' essential needs, from clothing to assistance with navigating benefits.

Community members can support the cause by volunteering on the day or contributing supplies for the cause. Interested individuals can contact Jeff at (740) 334-3172 or Nancy at (740) 404-6849 to get involved.
