United Way of Knox County has announced the appointment of Kristina Hagemann as its new program coordinator, effective January 13, 2025. Hagemann brings a wealth of experience from her 27-year career in the restaurant industry, where she honed skills in relationship-building, fostering community connections, and creating inclusive environments. She is eager to apply these strengths as she transitions into the nonprofit sector, working to advance United Way’s mission.

Her extensive background in engaging diverse communities will be instrumental in strengthening the organization’s programs and initiatives. United Way of Knox County Executive Director Katie Ellis expressed enthusiasm for Hagemann’s addition to the team.

“We are so excited to welcome Kristina Hagemann to the United Way team. Her experience with the local business community adds depth to our collective understanding, and her passion for guiding women in impactful work is a boon to our Women United program. Our team is poised and ready to continue the important and intentional work of the United Way to enrich the lives of all Knox County residents,” said Ellis.

Beyond her professional expertise, Hagemann is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, and biking with her husband, Josh, and their daughter, Skylar. The family resides in Centerburg, where they embrace Ohio’s scenic natural landscapes.

United Way of Knox County looks forward to the positive contributions Hagemann will bring to the organization and the local community. With her leadership, the organization aims to further its mission of connecting resources to meet community needs and improve the quality of life for Knox County residents.
